Forex
Forex basically means Foreign Exchange, Foreign Exchange is the arena where a nation's currency is exchanged for that of another. The foreign exchange market is the largest financial market in the world, with the equivalent of over $1.9 trillion changing hands daily; more than three times the aggregate amount of the US Equity and Treasury markets combined. Unlike other financial markets, the Forex market has no physical location and no central exchange (off-exchange).
It operates through a global network of banks, corporations and individuals trading one currency for another. The lack of a physical exchange enables the Forex market to operate on a 24-hour basis, spanning from one zone to another in all the major financial centers.
Traditionally, retail investors' only means of gaining access to the foreign exchange market was through banks that transacted large amounts of currencies for commercial and investment purposes. Trading volume has increased rapidly over time, especially after exchange rates were allowed to float freely in 1971. Today, importers and exporters, international portfolio managers, multinational corporations, speculators, day traders, long-term holders and hedge funds all use the FOREX market to pay for goods and services, transact in financial assets or to reduce the risk of currency movements by hedging their exposure in other markets.
MG Financial, now operating in over 100 countries, serves all manner of clients, comprising speculators and strategic traders. Whether it’s day-traders looking for short-term gains, or fund managers wanting to hedge their non-US assets, MG's DealStation™ allows them to participate in FOREX trading by providing a combination of live quotes, Real-Time charts, and news and analysis that attracts traders with an orientation towards fundamental and/or technical analysis.

Mentoring
Bozeman and Feeney (2007) define mentoring as "a process for the informal transmission of knowledge, social capital, and the psychosocial support perceived by the recipient as relevant to work, career, or professional development; mentoring entails informal communication, usually face-to-face and during a sustained period of time, between a person who is perceived to have greater relevant knowledge, wisdom, or experience (the mentor) and a person who is perceived to have less (the protègè)."
It originated from Homer's epic poem The Odyssey. In the poem, Odysseus, King of Ithaca went to fight in the Trojan War and entrusted the care of his kingdom to Mentor, who served as the teacher of Odysseus' son, Telemachus.
Mentoring is often thought of as the transfer of wisdom from a wise and trusted counselor who helps to guide a person's career, normally in the upper echelons of the organization. The two most common terms used to describe the person being mentored is "mentee" and "protègè," while two lesser used terms are "apprentice" and "student."
A mentor cares about her protègès and goes out of her or her way to see that they get the best possible chance to fulfill their career potential. It involves teaching, coaching, and helping to build a high degree of confidence. But what brings out the full magic of mentorship is some degree of affection or warm friendship... such as what an older brother might feel for his kid sister.
Make reading a hobby
Reading is a habit which helps a lot in life. This practice of reading has taken a back seat with the development of televisions and the internet. Children in the present times are all the time hooked to T.V.sets and the computers. Parents should make an effort of introducing their children to the world of books.
This should be started from a very young age. In fact children are able to understand even if they are not able to speak. You should start showing them picture books on animals, flowers and fruits. These are the things they can easily identify and they will be happy to browse through these books.
Some steps to make a child read
Buy some picture books
Buy some painting books
Make a scrap book by pasting pictures.
Make a habit of showing the picture books or reading a story at bed time.
Children like to mimic. If the parents have a regular habit of reading child is sure to follow.
When the child grows up you should expose her to all types of books. Joining a library would be good idea. A regular visit to a book store would give an ample choice. Let the child browse through a wide variety of books on various subject. Do not force your choices on her .Let her choose according to her own liking. You can describe a book you want her to read if she shows some interest you can buy her the book. Spend time with your child to make her understand the story. Answer her questions patiently. Children are very curious and want to satisfy their curiosity. Reading if cultivated as a hobby can make you a very well read person and help you in all phases of life.

Time Zones
Everyone on the planet wants the sun to be at its highest point in the sky (crossing the meridian) at noon. If there were just one time zone, this would be impossible because the Earth rotates 15 degrees every hour. The idea behind multiple time zones is to divide the world into 24 15-degree slices and set the clocks accordingly in each zone. All of the people in a given zone set their clocks the same way, and each zone is one hour different from the next.
In the continental United States there are four time zones: Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific. When it is noon in the Eastern time zone, it is 11 a.m. in the Central time zone, 10 a.m. in the Mountain time zone and 9 a.m. in the Pacific time zone.
All time zones are measured from a starting point centered at England's Greenwich Observatory. This point is known as the Greenwich Meridian or the Prime Meridian. Time at the Greenwich Meridian is known as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) or Universal Time. The Eastern time zone in the United States is designated as GMT minus five hours. When it is noon in the Eastern time zone, it is 5 p.m. at the Greenwich Observatory. The International Date Line (IDL) is located on the opposite side of the planet from the Greenwich Observatory.
Why is the Greenwich Observatory such a big deal? A bunch of astronomers declared the Greenwich Observatory to be the prime meridian at an 1884 conference. What's funny is that the observatory moved to Sussex in the 1950s, but the original site remains the prime meridian.
